Why Botox?

Botox and Dysport have numerous other off-label uses as well including neckbands, horizontal neck lines “tech neck”,  chin dimples, Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), jawline slimming, TMJ relief, jaw clenching, and teeth grinding.

Although the word "toxin" sounds a little scary, it is essentially a purified protein injected into the muscle to moderate muscle movement. Botox has been clinically trialed and studied, it is actually the most widely studied drug in the world (more than Ibuprofen!).

During your complimentary consult together, we will go through all the information and choose dosing based on your muscle mass and strength in the area of concern based on the assessment of a board-certified plastic surgeon.

Whether you're in your 20's and looking to prevent the signs of aging , or you're discovering the  magic of Botox later in life, it can help you achieve a natural glow while turning back the hands of time.

TREATMENT AREAS

Forehead

Forehead lines are usually the most prominent lines on the face since that’s where we typically express the most emotion with our eyebrows. Botox® works to relax or ‘freeze’ the muscles in the forehead used when showing emotion or facial expressions that may cause deep creases over time.

FROWN LINES

These are lines that form between the eyebrows that develop over time with facial expressions. Botox® or Dysport® can be injected into these lines to allow the muscles between the brows to relax and limit the negative effects that exaggerated facial expressions may have over time.

Crow’s Feet

If you’re experiencing fine lines or deep wrinkles on the sides of your eyes, then Neurotoxins may be right for you. They work to relax the muscles around the eyes, minimizing the severity of these lines and providing a more youthful appearance for men and women alike.

FACIAL SLIMMING

Jawline feminization has become extremely popular with women over the past few years. Botox® can help patients with a strong masseter to slim their jawline or minimize the projection of the masseter, resulting in a more feminine or heart-shaped facial structure overall.

NECK

Neurotoxins can be injected around the fine lines of the neck in a technique reminiscent of a pearl necklace to minimize the lines that begin to form as we age. This also helps the skin on the neck to appear smoother and more youthful.

EXCESSIVE SWEATING

If you suffer from excessive sweating in the armpits, palms, or other areas of the body, then you may be a good candidate for Neurotoxin injections to these areas. Many patients see a significant decrease in sweating after receiving Neurotoxin injections.

TEETH GRINDING

Botox® can help patients who suffer from Bruxism, more commonly known as teeth grinding. Research has shown that injecting a small amount of Botox® into the muscles responsible for moving your jaw reduces clenching and the accompanying tension and aches.

FAQ

+ How Much Does Botox/Dysport Cost?

Botox costs $13/u. While there are a wide variety of treatments that use Botox, treatments are usually between 20-50 units and depends on many factors including age, area being treated, strength of muscle, etc. Customized dosing will be based on the physicians recommendation and will be discussed in at your appointment.

*Minimum of 20 units of Botox is required to schedule an appointment with me. I do not take appointments for single areas like "lip flip botox", Chin Botox, or gummy smile botox. I do however treat these areas as "add ons" if you are recieveing any other areas of botox (upper face, crows feet, TMJ, under arms, etc). or getting any filler in the same day.

+ If I schedule as a new patient can I get Botox the day of my consultation?

Yes! I always allow for same day consult and treatment for botox, fillers, kybella, and sculptra.

+ When will I see results?

Botox and Dysport starts kicking in within 24-48 hours but it takes two weeks to see the full results. At two weeks I will see you for a virtual or in person follow up to see how that customized treatment worked using that specific amount. If we need to tweak your dose we will do that at your follow up. These treatments are best when your injector takes the time to find you unique amount.

+ How long do results last?

Results from Botox and Dysport are not permanent. Effects usually last about 3-4 months. Most of my patients come quarterly to see me for treatment and prevention.

If you are getting Botox/Dysport for facial slimming, TMJ, jaw clenching, or excessive sweating, typically those treatments last longer usually 5-7 months because they require a larger amount of units.

+ How many treatments will I need?

Botox and Dysport will only need one single treatment to show results. However, results last about 3-4 months, therefore treatments can continue upon this timeline for as long as the patient desires. Most of my patients come four times a year for best prevention of wrinkles.

+ Will I need time to recover?

Bruising is always possible, please plan 2 weeks ahead of any event/vacation where you wouldn't want a little bruise. That being said- with botox we tend to see minimal bruising and very little swelling. People get Botox/Dysport on their lunch break!

If you are seeing me as a first time Botox patient please try to come for your Botox/Dysport appointment 4-5 weeks before any big life events including your wedding, photoshoots, filming for shows, etc.

If you are seeing me as a first time patient and are interested in fillers, please try to come 6-10 weeks prior to any significant life event (example your wedding).

+ Whats the difference between Botox and Dysport?

Botox and Dysport are both used to treat and prevent wrinkles, fine lines, and deep facial furrows.

Dysport is very similar to Botox – same price, same duration, but some claim it kicks in a little quicker. I've had some patients who say they like Botox more, I've had some patients say they like Dysport a little more. Both are great products and results have a lot to do with who is injecting you and the dose.

+ Will it hurt?

Botox/Dysport is relatively painless! It is several little pokes using the smallest needle out there! The whole treatment takes less than 5 minutes total to do and numbing is not necessary.

+ Will I look crazy?

No! I always say that Botox isn't suppose to make you look like a different person. It is intended to make you look refreshed, smoothed, and glowing while turning back the clock of time. Always remember that good botox is never cheap and cheap botox is never good. Be sure to research your injector, look at their work, and ensure they have proper training on these treatments.

+ WILL I NEED TO CONTINUE NEUROTOXIN INJECTIONS FOREVER?

Most patients love the way they look after Neurotoxin injections, but it is not necessary to continue the treatment forever if you wish to stop.

+ Can I Receive Filler and Botox at the Same Time?

Dermal fillers and Botox treatment can and often are administered during the same office visit. Because each product works differently in the skin, the two can be a powerful combination to achieve beautiful, natural-looking rejuvenation.
